Current Projects
iARoC The international Autonomous Robot Contest, or iARoC, is a robot contest located in San Diego, California (San Diego County Fairgrounds, June 26-27, 2010) featuring a three-part competition of autonomous robot programming. For those interested with rules, registration, or just general information about the project, see our iARoC project page.
Wintriss Technical School
Wintriss Technical Schools (WTS) is a non-profit organization devoted to teaching computer programming to students of all ages (usually from elementary school to high school students). WTS is preparing them to fill critical shortages of computer programmers expected within the next ten years. To maintain the U.S. position of scientific leadership, the children of today will need to know how to write- as well as use-the complex software of tomorrow. It was originally founded to prove to the world that elementary school students are capable of learning this material, as it is excluded from almost all elementary school curriculums. So far it has shown that these students can and have been able to understand this material, and we hope to expand our range of students, teachers, and most importantly, willing minds.

- Programming Tools
- Version Control
- Version Control software is a very useful tool for saving the history of changes to all the source code in a program. This allows you to recover previous copies of the code without having to ctrl-z (undo) all of your edits. Learn about the basic tasks of version control and much more here.
- Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
- An IDE is like a programmer's swiss army knife. From the little things like spell or syntax check to larger jobs like running your programs, IDE's do it all. Some common IDE's include Netbeans, Eclipse, and Xcode. Learn more about IDE's here.
